Sanmart opened in 2007, inspired by Fried Green Tomatoes and a camper van. It consists of a design studio and a gallery. Sanmart design specialises in editorial design (magazine layout, supplements, etc) from concept and design to print, and also other print design such as brochures, annual reports, corporate identities (logos), business cards and advertisements. I have a degree in Information Design from Pretoria University and have been working as a graphic designer for the past 15 years, including 2 years UK design experience. Working experience includes; Kaye Eddie Deale Lowery, Coole Advertising, BBC Nash, Commonwealth Publishing (UK), The Pepper Project (UK), Alchemy Publishing, Intelligence Publishing and ITWeb. Some projects I have worked on include companies such as Novell, GijimaAst, HP, Integr8, EOH, GeoSystems Africa, Neotel, Microsoft, SAP, nVisionIT, Harmonious living and
Unique Wellness.
Sanmart gallery is a gallery for people. It is a place for people to meet and enjoy art in a relaxed, sociable and warm environment. Every exhibition gets individual treatment, with attention to detail. We offer good food, wine (or homemade beer if the fancy takes us), live music and by sunset there’s always a fire burning. Our exhibitions taste, smell and feel like Africa. Our intention for the gallery is to give upcoming and established artists an opportunity to exhibit, for the public to buy affordable art and for everyone to leave with
a smile.
